When it comes to bang for you buck, few phones come close to offering the kind of specs, features and overall value for money as the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T.
They cost around half the price of a top-of-the-line iPhone and feature more or less the same grade of spec and hardware. This is why OnePlus has grown and grown in popularity over the years.
If you bought either the OnePlus 3 or the OnePlus 3T, you will 100% receive Android Oreo. OnePlus has now confirmed this via its official channels; though the actual release date for the update is not yet known.
The OnePlus 2 did not get Android Nougat, sadly, so many were worried the company would make the same mistake this year with its outgoing OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed the news, putting to bed rumours OnePlus would instead focus on the OnePlus 5 rather than treat its outgoing handsets fairly. Thankfully, the company has learnt that this is not the way you do things.
If you’re interested in what Android Oreo will look like up and running on the OnePlus 3T, check out the video below:
You can check out ALL of Android O’s new features in our Android Oreo Primer, which looks at everything that is currently known about the new software.
