The iPhone XS Max is now officially, we’ve all seen, heard Apple’s take on it, and started to get our first idea about what these new iPhones are like.
Samsung’s next big move is the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+; two handsets that will launch inside Q1 2019.
As per usual, we’re expecting some pretty meaty updates to the design, specs, and overall performance of the handsets. But one area where Samsung is getting VERY serious is imaging…
Samsung Galaxy S10 Camera
According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S10+ might feature up to five cameras – three on the back, two on the front.
Yes, you read that right: five camera sensors.
This five-sensor camera setup will be reserved for the Samsung Galaxy S10+, however, while the other handsets – the Galaxy S10, for instance – will feature dual-sensors on the back and a wide-angle selfie sensor on the front.
Like Apple, Samsung WILL Release Three Galaxy S10 Handsets
Techno Buffalo reckons Samsung’s going to follow Apple’s lead and release a trio of Galaxy S10 handsets in Q1 2019.
Here’s what TB’s source said: “all three devices are expected to feature a 12MP wide-angle lens (78-degree FOV) and a 16MP super wide-angle lens (123-degree FOV). The Galaxy S10 Plus will be the only model to feature a third 13MP telephoto lens (45-degree FOV). Like the Galaxy S9, all three Galaxy S10 models will support Samsung’s dual aperture (f/1.5 and f/2.4) technology.”
The Samsung Galaxy S10, whatever happens, will have some rather stiff competition. The iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR all run the same chipset – and it’s a very, very good one.
Then you got Huawei’s incoming P20 Pro, which is expected to be a killer release from the fastest-growing smartphone maker on the planet right now.
Will five cameras and some new design language keep the Galaxy S faithful locked to Samsung in 2019?
Your guess is as good as mine!
