Vodafone UK has revealed it will begin taking pre-orders of the iPhone X on the official release date, Friday October 27, and has let slip that the first 1,000 pre-order customers will get a free pair of Apple AirPod headphones bundled in.

There is a specific route to this, however. As well as being for the first 1,000 purchases, the offer is only running between October 27 and October 30.

You need to register to buy the iPhone X from Vodafone via this form here. You should receive an email reply with an invitation to participate in the AirPod promotion.

Once you've done that, you need to purchase an iPhone X on any plan between the October 27 and October 30 promotion dates using the exact same details you registered via the form.

For existing Vodafone customers, you need to upgrade using the details referenced in your application form to an iPhone X between 27 October and 30 October.

Once you've pre-ordered, Vodafone will be sending out text messages on October 31 to inform those who've secured their pre-orders and AirPods. The iPhone X release date is November 3, but the AirPods will be sent out seperately from November 4. Vodafone will send a follow up message to inform you regarding their delivery.
