In the UK? Thinking about picking up a shiny new iPhone 8 or iPhone X Edition? Check out these deals before you do anything

The iPhone X Edition and iPhone 8 are now official, after months and MONTHS of speculation, leaks, and conjecture. What we have are three handsets, two of which are similar, and one that is completely different to anything that came before.

The iPhone X Edition is obviously the main event, as it is the first iPhone in three years to feature a radical redesign. Apple is pretty much the only company on the face of the planet that could get away with this kind of thing as well, but it appears the OLED iPhone was worth the wait.

The design is very impressive, introducing an edge-to-edge display for the first time on iPhone. As a longstanding Android user though, this isn’t actually anything all that new; Android phones from Samsung and LG have been doing this for years. Still, at least Apple is finally updating its display tech.

The iPhone 8, which replaces the current iPhone 7 range of phones, is pretty much what you’d expect – a mildly updated iPhone 7, complete with Apple’s insanely powerful A11 CPU, improved imaging, and better overall performance and battery life.

The design – more specifically, the display – is the real star of the show here, though. It takes up almost the entirety of the front of the phone, save for a slight indentation at the top, which is where the front-facing camera, face unlock sensor, lives.

The iPhone X Edition is a beautiful device, but whether it could be considered better looking than the Galaxy S8 or the Essential Phone is, well, up to you – beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I quite like the way it looks, though I do think this phone is a year too late.

Apple could and probably should have done this in 2016. None of the raw tech specs inside the iPhone X Edition can be considered new, save for Apple’s hugely innovative ARKit, and the company’s displays have always left a lot to be desired when compared to Samsung’s superior OLED offerings.

Still, for iPhone fans the iPhone X Edition is basically the second coming of Christ (with the iPhone 6 being the first instance), and if you’re after upgrading to this monstrously potent new handset, and you’re in the UK, well, you have plenty of options to choose from, as you can see below:
