It’s going to be an amazing year for gaming on the PS4.

The last several years for console gaming have seen some incredible titles: Overwatch, Star Wars Battlefront, Uncharted 4, Doom, Final Fantasy XV, Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, and The Last Guardian, just to name a few. But 2017 is set to outdo them all with some of the most hotly anticipated console games ever.

And good news if you’re an Xbox fan–virtually every single big game of 2017 will be available on the platform. So, just what games are coming? Here’s a list of the best of 2017 complete with trailers and the developer’s description.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

This isn’t technically a reboot of the franchise, but it is a redoing of it. In RE7 that game morphs from its previous action/shooter roots to become more focused on the horror and storytelling aspects of the series. You find yourself a resident of the Baker family house, which you must explore and also survive horrible deaths at the hands of the odd family.

Mass Effect Andromeda

Mass Effect: Andromeda takes players to the Andromeda galaxy, far beyond the Milky Way. There, players will lead our fight for a new home in hostile territory as the Pathfinder - a leader of military-trained explorers. This is the story of humanity’s next chapter, and player choices throughout the game will ultimately determine our survival.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew

This looks to be the game Star Trek fans have been waiting for for ages. Star Trek: Bridge Crew is a multiplayer VR simulation game that sees you in command of a brand new Starfleet ship called the USS Aegis. You and three other players take the roles of the bridge crew: engineering, tactical, helm, and captain. And you’ll all need to work together as you navigate the deep reaches of space and fight off alien attackers if you want to survive.

Sniper Elite 4

The shooter series is back and better than ever. In Sniper Elite 4 you’re back in command of Karl Fairburne on the battlefronts of World War 2. But in this game each “level” is an incredible open world. This time Fairburne finds himself in Italy, fighting fascism and Nazis. And best of all, the game’s signature X-ray kill came is back that shows just how brutal your attacks are.

Gravity Rush 2

The sequel to the hit anime actioner Gravity Rush, where you have the power to control gravity, comes to the PS4 this year. You play Kat navigating the world of Hekseville where you need to fight enemies and solve puzzles using your gravity powers. Walk on walls, reverse gravity mid-jump, and crawl along the ceilings in what looks to be an epic sequel.

For Honor

Carve a path of destruction through the battlefield fighting for guts, glory, and survival in For Honor, a new melee action game developed by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with other Ubisoft studios. Enter the chaos of a raging war as a Knight, Viking, or Samurai, three of the greatest warrior legacies. For Honor is a fast-paced and immersive experience, mixing skill with visceral, never-before-seen melee combat. The Art of Battle, the game’s innovative control system, puts you in total control of your heroes, each with distinct skills and weapons, as you annihilate all soldiers, archers, and opposing heroes who stand in your way on an intense, believable battleground.

Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th: The Game is a third-person horror/survival game where players take on the role of a teen counselor, or for the first time ever, Jason Voorhees. You and six other unlucky souls will do everything possible to escape and survive while the most well-known killer in the world tracks you down and brutally slaughters you.

Prey

In Prey, you awaken aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. You are the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever – but things have gone terribly wrong. The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted. As you dig into the dark secrets of Talos I and your own past, you must survive using the tools found on the station, your wits, weapons, and mind-bending abilities to defeat the Typhon alien threat. The fate of the Talos I and everyone aboard is in your hands.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands

From the infamous Death Road to the world's largest salt flat, journey through Ubisoft's largest open world action-adventure game to date. Discover massive regions inspired by Bolivia and South America, their stunning vistas and incredible diversity. Explore the hundreds of villages, landmarks, and legends populating this country in one of the many available vehicles, both on and off the road, in the air, on land, and at sea. Immerse yourself in Bolivian culture as you cross paths with inhabitants reacting to their own agendas and to the game's day-night cycle and weather system.
