If you’re looking at getting some new technology in the next couple of weeks, you’re in luck – there’s a big summer sale on over at Currys PC World.

The UK technology retailer stocks every conceivable type of technology, and almost all of it is now featured in its Summer Sale. Things like 4K OLED TVs, washing machines, blenders, phones, tablets and laptops.

Savvy shoppers tend to hold off on big purchases for events just like these. And there are plenty of options throughout the year: Black Friday, Cyber Monday, January Sales, Back To School –  and that’s just one’s off the top of my head.

4K TVs – Big Savings

Some of the biggest savings you can make in this sale seem to be on 4K TVs. The reason for this? Newer models coming in store in the next few months, so retailers like Currys want to get rid of older technology.

This is, though: when you buy a 4K TV with HDR for £500 less than its usual RRP you know you’ve snagged yourself a good deal. And, because its a 4K TV, you know you won’t have to upgrade it for at least another five years.

LG’s amazing OLED 4K TV has had £500 scratched off its RRP, meaning you can pick it up for £1499. I remember when this TV first came out; it retailed for over £3000. And once you switch it on and watch some 4K content you will know why it costs that much money.

Currys PC World is also offering free, next day delivery on anything bought as part of its summer sale. Currys will also install your TV or fridge freezer, if you like, and if you’d like to spread the cost of your purchase you can do so with finance, though you will pay 19.9% interest on it.

All in… this is a very impressive sale, especially if you’re looking at getting a 4K TV, as the savings are HUGE (around £500 on average).
