If you’ve recently got a new PS4 – or a fancy-pants PS4 Pro – chances are you only have one PS4 controller, as most PS4 units only ship with one PS4 controller as standard.

But what if you want to play some PS4 games with your buddies, house mates or girlfriend/boyfriend? Well… you’ll need another PS4 controller. There’s no way around it.

Now, PS4 controllers aren’t cheap, annoyingly. But if you shop around there are a few places that offer far better value than going direct to Sony for your second PS4 controller.

I recently bought a PS4 Pro – I know, such a fancy pants – and decided that I needed another controller for when my friends come over. I looked around online and found that the prices fluctuate pretty drastically.

Also: when buying a new PS4 controller you NEED to avoid high-street stores at all costs; you will pay well over the odds for a controller in a shop – like WAY, WAY over. So don’t do this.

Instead, you need to do your shopping online, as this is where the best deals can be found for cheap PS4 controllers.

GameStop – GameStop has a bunch of cheap PS4 controller deals on its site, with prices starting at $44.95.

TARGET – Similarly, you can pick up a PS4 controller for around $48.49 at Target, though the retailer has a bunch of options for those that want a little bit extra.

Just remember: you will pay more for colour/stylised PS4 controllers. If you want to save some cash in this regard, buy yourself a PS4 Controller skin – these are cheap as chips and available in a range of styles and colours.
