This is The Samsung Galaxy S8: Leaked Pictures and Specs Confirm Everything

Do you like surprises? Hate spoilers? If so: look away now because what we’re about to show you is the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus in full.

Over the past month (or so), there have been hundreds of leaks regarding these handsets. We’ve seen spec sheets, pictures of the handsets, press shots and heard plenty of talk about Bixby, Samsung’s new AI.

There is normally a little bit of mystery going into a big, phone launch. But not this year. No, this year’s Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus launch will have scant surprises, as we know what the spec and hardware is, we know what the handsets look like and we know how much they’ll cost.

Here’s a selection of some of the best leaked Samsung Galaxy S8 pictures I’ve seen to date:

And here’s a break down of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus’ specs and hardware:

The design of the handsets is very different to what came before. For the first time on a Galaxy S release, there is no Home button. The entirety of the frontage of the phone is display, sensors and cameras. The look, feel and gait of the handset is very premium.

I can see Samsung making a lot of new friends with this handset, some at the expense of Apple, too, perhaps.

Samsung will have some pretty stiff competition in 2017/18, but the most significant one of all is Apple’s iPhone 8. Why? Simple: the iPhone 8 is the first time Apple has done a ground-up redesign of its iPhone in three years.

There is a huge amount of demand out there for a new iPhone design and analysts expect sales for this handset to exceed the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus (the last time Apple changed the iPhone’s industrial design).

The iPhone 8, which we’ve already covered extensively, will likely be the most expensive phone ever released with a retail price far exceeding $1000 for the top tier model. OLED panels, new imaging technology, improved design and the removal of the Home key are expected to be the standout features.

Apple will also apparently release an iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s plus.

The Galaxy S8 handsets will also be available in a variety of colour options as well; more than ever before: gold, silver, bright black (gloss), matte black, blue, orchid, and pink.

Here’s a breakdown of the Samsung Galaxy S8 pricing.

  • Samsung Galaxy S8 – £799
  • Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus – £899

Most reports agree that the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will go on sale on April 28 in the UK.
