WOAH – the Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus trailer is absolutely NUTS

A new trailer for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus dropped at E3 and, well, it looks pretty nuts.

As far as games go for 2017, this one is definitely on my hit list – it looks epic. I was really excited about DOOM before it dropped, but I couldn’t help but find the game a little too repetitive and two-dimensional. Basically, I kind of got bored of it a little too quickly.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus looks COMPLETELY different, however, with strong lead characters, an awesome-looking open-world stage, and tons of new and sinister bodies to shoot to pieces. Visually, it looks several leagues above DOOM and is likely better compared to EPIC Uncharted 4 or the equally impressive Fall Out 4.

Either way, this one could well be one of 2017’s big successes. I mean, just LOOK at how good it looks:

A follow up to Wolfenstein: The New Order had been rumoured but the extent and frantic pace of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus still took a lot of people by surprise.

You’re still following BJ and his now pregnant wife. The world is still run by nazis that need filling with lead and the game is still ultra-violent with manga-style spurts of blood and epic-looking guns and visuals.

Bethesda and developer Machine Gun Games have clearly gone ALL OUT on this one. The scenes in the trailer look fantastic with huge, moving vistas and tons of new enemies and fighting styles.

The trailer shows just a few snippets of actual game play, but the pace of the action looks and feels very similar to DOOM.

You move around rapidly, blowing heads and limbs off enemies. The big difference here, though, is the world building; story will clearly play a much bigger part in this title versus DOOM.

New Colossus will be released on October 27, 2017, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

I cannot wait to play this one!
