LG G6 To Feature POWERHOUSE Battery Performance

The LG G6 will feature a massive battery designed to give amazing battery performance

The LG G6 will be getting official in a matter of weeks. MWC 2017 is just around the corner and while all eyes are on Samsung’s Galaxy S8 launch, do not count LG out just yet as its LG G6 is shaping up to be an equally formidable handset.

One area where LG is apparently keen to make big advances is battery life. According to ETNews, the LG G6 will feature a 3200mAH battery cell – 200mAh larger than then rumoured one inside the Galaxy S8.

The battery will not be user-replaceable, however, which may come as a disappointment to some users. Last year, LG did everything it could to make the G5 a dream Android phone; it made the battery removable, added in microSD and even experimented with modules.

But no one cared; sales were bad and the handset, while very impressive and an all round solid performer, failed to capture the hearts and minds of consumers. I recently described this as something of a tragedy. But the upshot of this is that you can now pick the handset for a very compelling price

According to the report, the LG G6 – thanks to its new, larger battery – will be able to handle 12 hours of solid internet browsing. That’s 12 hours of the screen being constantly on and the user doing something on the handset, which means normal usage should be immensely impressive.

LG will also implement something called Smart Doctor, which will diagnose problems with the phone and suggest solutions.

What’s unclear at present is what CPU the handset will use. Multiple reports claim the handset will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 CPU, an older model than the Snapdragon 835 CPU found inside the Galaxy S8.

Why is this unclear? Simple: Samsung apparently bought up all of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 supply, leaving nothing for Google’s other Android hardware partners.
