A new leak out of China claims the iPhone SE 2017 edition will be launched very soon, possibly during Apple's developer conference (WWDC 2017) in June. The leak also includes an image, which emerged via Weibo, of the handset's back panel, which unlike its predecessor will be made from glass instead of metal.

Specifcally, the report claims the back material is Ion-X glass, which is the same glass used on the Apple Watch Sport.

We can also see that the design has changed somewhat in terms of camera layout, with a vertical setup for the lens and flash rather than the first-gen iPhone SE's horizontal setup.

Nothing else is known about the iPhone SE 2017 at this point. The image includes a table printed on paper, which is apparently a component listing including the reference to Ion-X glass, but it's not a comprehensive list of every component. We don't know about the rating on the camera hardware, or the internal specs like the processor and RAM. The only thing we know for sure, what with this being an iPhone SE, is it probably won't be as powerful as the main flagship, likely using previous-gen technology to make it the "more affordable" iPhone.
