Case maker Olixar has released official product images of a new screen protector designed for the iPhone 8; of course that means that the iPhone 8 design is displayed as well. Presumably the depicted iPhone 8 is a render or dummy model based on the same official schematics the case maker will have used to design the case itself.
This is a fairly typical thing for case makers to receive details ahead of a launch so that they can build cases which will fit a new phone perfectly. That said, this is surprisingly in advance of the alleged September iPhone 8 launch. But still, we can't fault the source and believe this to be legitimate.
And if this is a legit photo of the iPhone 8, which I believe it is, the phone itself looks stunning. It appears all of the rumours were pretty much true as well, so you can expect a huge amount of hype around this phone when it launches later on this year.
There was talk of Apple abandoning the buttonless design, but it appears that the company has found a way around the problem. There could be issues with production, as one of the key issues was yields, though this will only become certain once the iPhone 8 is official.
The key updates for the iPhone 8 are looking to be pretty extensive. Expect huge updates to the camera, the design of the handset itself, obviously, more RAM, improved performance via Apple’s new A-series chipset and increased power optimisations.
For most, though, the big draw of the iPhone 8 will be what it looks like. Apple hasn’t updated the look and feel of its iPhone for three years, so there is a huge thirst for a new look. This will be what converts most people, the specs and feature updates will be a close second.

Apple’s new-generation CPUs always add in a ton of new performance, and this year’s A11 should be no exception, so users’ should expect market-leading performance from the iPhone 8’s new CPU.
The reveal also confirms previous rumours and leaks regarding the display size and bezel width for the next-gen iPhone, as well as the lack of a physical Home key and Touch ID fingerprint scanner - instead these are thought to be integrated into the display glass.

The iPhone 8 is rumoured to be using Samsung supplied flexible and curved OLED display technology, although it will be using this in a similar implementation to the Galaxy S8 as a curved display panel fixed in place under a glass screen. This means the iPhone 8 will be the first iPhone using OLED instead of IPS LCD and the first to offer a true edge-to-edge screen.
